Mark has studied music classically for 22 years, starting on the piano at a young age and subsuquently  learning the cello. He played in various classical ensembles and orchestras, performing at various venues such as the Barbican. He is also self taught on drums and guitar.

He has also played in various bands and collectives and produces electronic music under the moniker brometer with releases on the SEM label and Unlabel. 

Mark studied on the Digital Music BA course at The University of Brighton and received First Class Honours, studying under Kersten Glandien, Holger Zschenderlein and Jean Martin.

Alongside freelance sound work he has lectured on the Digital Video and Broadcast Production FDSC course at Confetti ICT in conjunction with De Montfort University.

He has a strong passion and interest in the psychology of music and sound and their relationship with the moving image.
